I am a veteran educator, having worked in Milwaukee Public Schools for 14 years prior to coming to St. Francis High School.  I am also a member of the St. Francis community.  Our eldest will be in 2nd grade at Willow Glen in the Fall, and our twins will be starting 4K at Willow Glen this year as well.

I believe that all students are entitled to a rich and meaningful education that prepares them for the next steps in their lives.  I know that using the strengths and the interests of students helps them to achieve more than they thought possible.  Learning can be difficult work, but when it is supported and scaffolded, and directed toward a common purpose, it is extremely rewarding.  I believe that families are essential partners in education, especially in High School, as students take the next steps in their lives.  I also believe that it is necessary for students to practice in as realistic a setting as possible the kinds of things they may encounter in their future, especially when transitions can be difficult.

In my free time, I enjoy trying new recipes, reading mystery stories, and knitting, though I am a very slow knitter and can only make scarves.  I love learning new things, and you will often find me and my kids at the St. Francis Public Library.
