Hello SFHS Students, Staff and Community Members,

My name is Jill Savick and the purpose of this message is to briefly introduce myself and inform you on how I can assist both students and parents during your time at St. Francis High School.  I have worked in the St. Francis School District for 15 years, and for the past 5 years I have called St. Francis High School home.  I am passionate in what I do and feel fortunate to serve the students and families in the high school.

The mission of the Academic and Career Counseling Center is to provide a comprehensive program that will assist all students in acquiring the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible citizens, productive workers, and lifelong learners.  The program’s ultimate goal is for students to graduate with the competencies necessary to be able to make self-directed, realistic and responsible decisions and to be successful contributors to society.

As a school counselor I am responsible for the following (although not an exhaustive list):

• To teach classroom guidance lessons on a variety of topics related to the well-being of students (personal/social, academic, and career)

• To provide counseling to individual and small groups of students, as needed

• To guide students in their individualized educational and career plans

• To consult and collaborate with parents and teachers

• To plan and organize testing, school-based programs and special events

• To share information about various community services that are available to you
