The Mathematics Team is comprised of professionals committed to excellence in education.  The fundamental belief of the mathematics educator at St. Francis High School is that an outstanding mathematical ability opens the door to opportunities in a technological world.  Curriculum offerings are available to meet the needs of all learners and include the opportunity to take Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus.

Math Department - Philosophy Statement

The St. Francis High School Math Department curriculum focuses on problem solving and is aligned with the ACT Standards, Common Core State Standards and Mathematics Practice Standards.  We strive to give students experience with the application of mathematics.  The mathematics curriculum integrates hands on investigations, activities, modeling, observation of phenomena, interactions with technology and methods of proof.  Our goal is to provide higher levels of understanding and further critical thinking skills for each student.
