Welcome!

I'm excited to be in my 10th year teaching English at St. Francis High School. My decision to become an educator was strongly influenced by my experience with the staff and community at SFHS when I was a student here many moons ago. With this in mind, I feel very strongly about helping my students understand the impact they can have and the positive future that lies ahead if they apply themselves.

Feel free to contact me regarding any questions or concerns about my classes or English/Language Arts in any capacity.

Background

After graduating from St. Francis High School in 2010, I attended UW-Milwaukee where I attained my Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education and pursued a minor in Philosophy. In the summer of 2015, I received my ELA education licensure and completed training to become certified to design and deliver the AP Literature curriculum. Over the past 9+ years, I've taught all 4 grade levels here at St. Francis and feel the utmost confidence in helping our students navigate the realms of English.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy a strong cup of coffee, obscure and esoteric music selections, random trivia, and appreciating the nuances of everyday life.
