Principal Welcome

If you are reading this letter, you are exactly the individual I am excited to have as a part of our community. It shows that you’re engaged in your child’s learning or you’re intrigued in our mission to empower families, students, and staff to work collectively to help our community become leaders in order to achieve at our highest levels. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Eddy Ringsby, and am thrilled to welcome you to Willow Glen. As you look through our website, please know that it’s just a starting point. If there’s anything you’re wondering about, anything you need to share, or if you simply wish to get your child’s education started at Willow Glen, feel free to reach out.

The 2023-2024 school year is my 20th year in education and 4th year as Principal at Willow Glen Primary School. Prior to coming to the wonderful community of St. Francis, I spent 16 years in the Greendale School District and Greenfield School District. I had numerous roles in which I was able to serve my prior two communities, ranging from being an acting elementary principal, summer school K-8 administrator/principal, athletic coach, grade-level teacher (Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8), elementary instructional coach, intermediate and elementary reading specialist, elementary math coach, and elementary literacy coach.

However, over the past three years, I feel we've grown a lot as a building, and I have grown just as much as a leader. We've expanded our 4K program, completed the entire referendum process, and moved fully towards being a much more inclusive school setting. These past two years, we’ve improved our instructional practices and curriculum to provide incredible opportunities for your children in reading, writing, and math. This past summer, we’ve begun the hard work of improving our report cards, so they’re more aligned with our instruction, as well as help families better understand where they’re children are performing.

In addition to being principal, I am blessed with an incredible family. I have 4 wonderful boys (Jacob, 22; Landon, 15; Carter, 11; and Hudson, 7) and an amazing wife, Rachel, who has also been in education as long as I have. Three years ago, we added Nala to our family. She is a sweet, loving, and playful Goldendoodle, and she brings a smile to all of our faces each and every day. We enjoy spending time playing and taking her for walks.

Finally, I look forward to getting to know my school family just a little more each day. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me whenever you have a wondering or just want to share how we’re doing. I am excited to work alongside with you to help each and every child be their very best. I look forward to partnering with you and our school community to help our learners empower, achieve, and lead at their highest levels. We all play a role in that, and I thank you in advance for being such a critical piece in helping them reach these levels.
