We are thrilled to announce the success of our first Child Development Day screening at Willow Glen! Our amazing Student Services team and local Health Department representatives were there and stations were set up for hearing and vision, motor skills, cognitive skills, and communication. We are proud to share that we had an 80% increase in student participation from last year's spring event! Thank you to everyone who made this possible. These #WeAreSFSD 1st-grade students are immersed in the world of STEM! Using hands-on activities in the library, they're learning about science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and engaging way.
Willow Glen Primary in St. Francis Public School District has received the distinguished 2023 National Blue Ribbon School Award for being one of the Highest Performing Elementary Schools in Wisconsin. This builds upon last year's success as a US News and World Report Award for being one of the top 25% of performing elementary schools in Wisconsin. Exciting things are happening at #WeAreSFSD's Willow Glen! Last week, our students and families met their amazing teachers, picked up all their school supplies from PTO, and got to know other families in our wonderful community. Not to mention, the construction project has brought some amazing changes to our school, including air-conditioning, new play areas, and beautifully renovated classrooms and library spaces. We are thrilled to welcome everyone to Mariner Nation and are eagerly looking forward to the start of the school year . Together, we are One!
